Writers' Circle is a low-stakes, collaborative community for creative writers on campus. We typically do a mix of free-writes, prompted writing, and workshopping in a given term, so that there's something for everybody. Some people come to motivate themselves to write, some come to have an hour to meditate through relaxed writing each week, some come to get feedback on their works in progress -- the list goes on. Writers of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We are a competitive, no try-out team that welcomes players of all levels to the field. Whether you have been playing soccer your whole life or you played that one time when you were 5, club soccer is for you! Our team is coached and managed by students. We hold practices three times a week and play a few intercollegiate games in the fall and spring. Practices consist of drills, technique-focused games, and other fun stuff. Outside of practice, we like to get team dinners and do other team bonding activities. Come join us if you love soccer and want to make new friends! Feel free to contact our captains if you have any questions.

Women's Club Hockey at Carleton is a welcoming sport club open to experienced hockey players and beginners alike. We practice two-three times a week at the Northfield Ice Arena, during which time we offer drills to help improve skating, shooting, and passing skills as well as higher-level activities for our more experienced participants. We play several games a year against the Macalester women's hockey club (a group with similar skill and experience levels), which provides fun and safe competition for the whole club. Full hockey gear is provided by the club, so everyone is truly welcome!

GMICC is working to counter the cis-male domination in CAMS and the field of film more broadly. It creates a space for collaboration and community among women and gender minorities, and uplifts marginalized voices in communication with the department. Together, we work on brainstorming film ideas and techniques, and support each other in our filmmaking processes. We've also begun a series of 'Artist Talks', where GMICC hosts a featured Artist. Moving forward, we plan to maintain a strong GMICC community, foster an active crewing network for filmmakers, maintain the Artist Talk series, and expand our outreach and visibility.

The purpose of WHOA! Hip-Hop Dance Company (WHOA!) is to provide the Carleton community with an outlet of expression through the art of hip-hop dance. While other venues for dance exist on campus, WHOA! fills a void in the community of selective dance companies. WHOA! is a 100% student-run company that allows for the practice and performance of non-classical folk and concert styles of hip-hop dance. Combined, WHOA!'s dancers bring years of experience in all forms of dance, not just hip-hop. In addition to providing a space for perfecting one’s technique and abilities in the comprehensive elements of hip-hop dance, WHOA! presents at least two performances a year, as well as other informal appearances throughout each term.

The West Coast Swing Club’s mission is to provide Carleton students with a place to learn, practice and enjoy the partner dance West Coast Swing (WCS)! Our goal is to offer an informal and fun atmosphere that welcomes all skill levels, especially beginners, while providing a continual input of new material and instruction for more advanced dancers. In addition, the West Coast Swing Club seeks to bring WCS instructors to campus for all-campus lessons, to organize trips to the Cities for workshops and social dances, and to inform and introduce students to off-campus WCS opportunities nationally and internationally.

The Science Fiction and Fantasy Alliance (SFA) is Carleton’s premier (and only) student organization dedicated solely to the enjoyment of speculative fiction in all its forms and at all levels from casual to intensely-involved. We love to love things.

We have showings of science fiction and fantasy TV shows every Friday (typically in Benton, the Science-Fiction interest house), with shows suggested and chosen by the club members. We watch a huge variety of shows, including recently aired and classics, with new shows chosen each term.

SFA is also involved in the advertisement and upkeep of the Sci-Fibrary, a Science-Fiction and Fantasy library located in Benton House with over 1500 books, graphic novels, reference guides, and more.

If any of that sounds remotely cool, or you just like hanging out with awesome Carls, email club leadership to join the official SFA Discord server! We share this server with the awesome people in Carleton Anime Society, and it's a great place to be.
