CarlsAct's main objective is to gather the entire community of Carleton to come together and assist marginalized communities on campus as well as outside of campus. Through the use of various forms of advocacy and interpersonal relations, the group aims to ultimately influence the social, political, and public opinion of Carleton students, faculty, and administration. We hope to develop and broaden the mindsets of our peers in order to create a community with a more inclusive and socially aware community. As a group, we create a welcoming environment for students of color, form receptive relationships with the administration, engage with the Carleton community in advocacy both on and off-campus and promote the welfare of POC students at Carleton and the surrounding areas.
