Mortar Board is a national honor society for college seniors. Carleton's chapter of Mortar Board works in conjunction with Northfield, Faribault and its other surrounding communities to promote the national organization's stated values: scholarship, leadership, and service. Each year, new chapter members select a guiding service project to work on throughout the year. Members assemble committees to tackle all logistics pertaining to that project, from fundraising to networking with local non-profits. Carleton Mortar Board's current senior class of 2022 is coordinating with a local women's prison to provide books and educational supplies to inmates. Carleton Mortar Board is an outlet for those who are passionate about facilitating justice and equity. Membership is contingent upon being nominated during winter term of junior year.
