At 10:00PM the night before the start of finals, all Carleton students scream at the top of their lungs to let out their stress and anxiety about finals. This usually occurs during midnight breakfast. Right after the scream, students go back to studying as if nothing happened. This is one of the many fun traditions at Carleton that occurs during finals week.
*Unfortunately, we could not find any pictures of the primal scream but here is one from the silent dance party, which is a much quieter tradition occurring on the same night!*
