We decided to present our visualizations using ArcGIS instant web apps and an ArcGIS story map. We chose these tools because they offer a lot of functionality both for creators curating the visualizations and viewers interacting with the visualizations.
We then chose WordPress as the way we wanted to present our project as a whole because we wanted our audience to be able to click on each page and go through our project at their own pace. WordPress is also very customizable from the creation side of things, so we liked being able to customize our website to best fit the project. The ability to embed interactive maps on pages with other text was also essential for the presentation of our project.
The intended audience for our project is anyone who is interested in the Carleton Football Team and its history. Since this is a wide audience of people who likely have varying levels of familiarity with navigating the internet, we tried to make our presentation as streamlined as possible to make it accessible to everyone.
