To have a more intuitive sense of the geospatial information of the relics, we used GIS. We made 12 maps in total. Eleven are for each dynasty, and one for the sum of all dynasties. First, we imported the provincial boundaries of the China layer to the map. After correcting the layer projection, we modified the attribute table. We added a field of the number of Chinese ceramic relics in the three museums (the British Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum).

Next, we changed the layer’s primary symbology to graduated colors. The redness represents the different levels of the number of relics. To let the user read the number easier, we enabled labels for the number of relics of each province on the map. Then, we published each map to ArcGIS Online as web maps. Finally, we added those web maps to the Storymap.
