Visualizing Carleton’s Campus Over Time

About our project
For this project, we created an interactive web map to explore the transformation of Carleton College’s campus from 2008 to the present day. By examining which buildings have been demolished and what new structures have been added, we aim to highlight the evolution of the campus environment. Our interest in this project sparked when we came across a map of Carleton’s campus from 1902 and were struck by how small the campus was at that time. This historical perspective inspired us to investigate how the campus has grown and changed over the years, and we included two 3D models of key buildings to visualize this development.
