Hi! I’m Molly, and I was really excited to learn more about where my professors went to college, as well as exploring trends in the data. For this project, I worked on creating our dataset, cleaning/organizing the data, working on this website, interviewing my professors, creating a 3D model of a diploma, and creating data visualizations for our data.
Hey I’m Sunniva! For our final project I mainly focused on creating this website with WordPress to display all of our data in a user friendly way. In addition, I sorted and geolocated data to created several maps of which schools each of the professors obtained their degrees from. I also got in touch with a few of professors that I have taken classes with to see how their college experiences have impacted their teaching here at Carleton.
Hello! I’m Gus, and for our project, I was in charge of creating the Timeline that visualized when professors officially started teaching at Carleton College. I also helped to sort and scrape data from the official Carleton webpage. I was very excited about this project because I wanted to learn more about our professors and see where they got their degrees.
